Stan' Up! Talk Up! An Introduction to Advocacy for Jamaican Communities

The Stan’ Up! Talk Up! Guidebook was created by the Jamaica Environment Trust (JET) with funding from the Inter-American Foundation (IAF) under the project ‘Strengthening the capacity of Jamaican communities to protect their environmental rights’ 2013-2016. Advocacy is a tool used to correct an unfair situation. It usually involves trying to get the government, businesses or groups of people to fix circumstances that are harming communities or people.
